Short Description:

AC-GBL2 is an environmentally-friendly low-temperature gel breaker newly developed by our company. It overcomes the drawbacks of traditional oxidative gel breakers, and is a novel high-efficiency gel breaker with excellent gel-breaking performance across the full temperature range.

Particularly under low-temperature conditions, it features a fast gel-breaking rate, and the apparent viscosity of the broken fluid after gel breaking is ≤5 mPa·s. It delivers superior gel-breaking performance on specific polymer-based thickeners, including self-crosslinking emulsions, suspension emulsions and polymer powders, and is also applicable for gel breaking of guar gum under low-temperature conditions.

AC-GBL2 is a water-soluble eco-friendly low temperature gel breaker with a neutral to weakly alkaline pH value. It is designed for gel breaking of modified polyacrylamide thickeners for fracturing fluids or guar gum. The product contains no oxidizing agents, is non-combustion-supporting and non-detonation-supporting, and ensures high safety during application. It has excellent compatibility with other fracturing fluid additives. For emulsion polymer thickeners or guar gum in low-temperature systems at 25-45℃, its gel-breaking performance meets the requirements of industry standards.

It solves the technical pain points of failed or incomplete gel breaking when using ammonium persulfate (APS) paired with low-temperature gel breaking activators. With outstanding technical and economic performance, it is an ideal alternative to oxidative gel breakers. Meanwhile, it also delivers excellent performance in plug removal operations, and can achieve complete plug removal within a specified time frame.

AC-GBL2 adopts a water-based formulation and is non-flammable. It is free of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), organochlorine compounds, fluorine (F), Alkylphenol (AP) and Alkylphenol Ethoxylates (APEOs, commonly known as OP), as well as Nonylphenol (NP) and Nonylphenol Ethoxylates (NPEOs). The product features excellent biodegradability, and is safe and environmentally friendly.

AC-GBL2 is a water-based, eco-friendly and biodegradable general chemical. It eliminates the core drawbacks of traditional oxidative gel breakers: strict regulatory restrictions on transportation and storage, high costs, and low application safety.
AC-GBL2 achieves more thorough gel breaking. Compared with ammonium persulfate (APS), it has a milder gel-breaking rate at the initial stage without compromising construction performance, and realizes ultra-low viscosity and full gel degradation at the later stage.
When paired with our specially formulated low-temperature gel breaking activator AC-GAT2 at temperatures below 40°C, AC-GBL2 delivers more complete gel breaking than APS.
AC-GBL2 is free of VOCs, organochlorines, fluorine (F), alkylphenol & alkylphenol ethoxylates (OP), nonylphenol & nonylphenol ethoxylates (NP), with excellent biodegradability.
AC-GBL2 also has outstanding performance in plug removal, and can achieve complete plug removal within a specified time frame.

Application :

Suitable for gel breaking of polymer thickeners, including self-crosslinking emulsions, suspension emulsions and polymer powders. Also applicable for guar gel breaking at low temperatures.
